Yay!

Obviously one week was an optimistic guess. But we are booked on the rotator that’s going out on Friday, so I should be home sometime saturday.

As Eva said, Will and I are currently in Bahrain. Sorry about the extended down-time and lack of updates. As it turns out, this is going to be our last site and I may be home in as little as a week.

Just in case anyone still tries to read this blog, let me first reassure you that Mike is doing well, somewhere in sw asia (I think Bahrain, but I’m not sure). Second, sorry about the site going down. There was a big storm that turned off power, and since Mike did the whole set up of the site and it is in his apartment and he is a bunch of time zones away, it took the two of us awhile to work out exactly what needed to be done to fix it. This is probably a temorary solution, so be forewarned. Anyways, hopefully it will stay up for awhile, and hopefully Mike will post soon.

I’m sure Mike will post this soon, but he is doing well in uae.

Will and I got bumped from our flight. There are a couple more flights this week though, so we’re going to keep trying.

Well Qatar anyway. I should be getting on a plane to UAE tomorrow, but we’ll see how well that works out. If for some reason it doesn’t, I’ll be stuck here with nothing to do for about another week.

I am out in the t haute for the next week, helping Rachel prepare for her wedding, relaxing, and just hanging out. Amanda and I drove around terre haute today, totally forgeting how to get anywhere. It was actually kind of funny. Things looked familar, and yet didn’t, and we couldn’t remember if something had actually changed or if we just never noticed it.

Rachel’s party on Saturday was a great time. It wasn’t wild and crazy, but we hung out for awhile and relaxed, so that was good. There were one or two odd moments, but those quickly passed.

I received some email from Mike. He is just hanging out in qatar. I thought this was interesting:

Will and I are trying to switch to a night schedule cause the next class is for the night shift folks, so over the next couple nights I have to stay up super late and sleep during the day, which isn’t bad cause that’s sort of what I tend to do anyway.

He is super cute.

As the title states, there’s not a whole lot going on out here. Will and I are probably going to be staying where we’re at for another week or two. Dennis and Nat, as far as I know, are on they’re way to their next site to do some training before moving on to Kuwait.
Today was much longer than it needed to be because Will and I screwed up while we were updating one of the computers. But tomorrow should go much more smoothly and we should be done early.
